Weekend trip to Indian Creek Campground - Garfield, AR

Indian Creek Campground is probably one of our favorites on Beaver Lake. We have stayed here twice now, and both times has been an enjoyable experience. The park only has 33 sites, so it stays pretty quiet. On this trip, we were in site #24, and on the previous trip, we were in #23.

Even though it was only the middle of June when we were here, it was unseasonable hot and humid. It quickly made the trip all about staying cool. One positive of that however, was that it was the first opportunity that we had to really test the air conditioner, since I had done some work to it. I was pleased to find out that it worked great, and was performing much better than it had the prior season.

Another item that we were testing this weekend was our new drone. We decided to replace the old one, after losing it on the last trip. This one seemed to work really well, and I was pleased with the shots that I got with it. I will say that I am really nervous when flying it, since losing the last one. However, I don’t believe that I will have the same issues with this one, as I did with the other. The old one was controlled by a WiFi signal, which could be unstable, and lose signal. This one has a much more stable RF signal, which seems to be much better.

The weekend was relaxing and fairly uneventful. We spent the majority of the time in the water, either on the paddle boards, or just swimming. Since Bagheera isn’t real fond of the water, he would often just watch us from the bank. When we weren’t in the water, we were reading, and thinking back to what it was like before we got the camper. I will say that it is definitely nice to be able to camp in these temperatures, and still be able to sleep in the A/C.
